I’ve spent almost the entire month of January in hotels. The first weekend was Orlando for the Disney Marathon, last was the Bachelorette in Nashville, and this week I’m back in Orlando for SalesForce training. I’ll spend 7 days at home next week then I’m back to Orlando for a conference. Whew.. that’s a lot of packing and unpacking (and a lot of time away from the Boyfriend).
I got up this morning and hit the hotel gym. The little gym is out back in a structure that appears to be a tool shed, but, the treadmill worked and I got in my 5k before class this morning. I was really looking forward to a swim after class at the YMCA Aquatic Center on International Drive.
After class I got lost trying to find the YMCA, ended up on I-4 in rush hour and spent an hour sitting in traffic. I just about called it an evening before finally finding it.
I’m so glad I didn’t skip the workout. What a cool place it turned out to be! I was seriously impressed with the pool. I think my excitement over the facility fueled my work out because I did 1200 meters with no breaks and no problem.
I was starving after my workout and found Whole Foods. I made a wayy too big salad (I always have a problem with that). Check out this delicious mess!
In the mix: Mixed Greens, Kale, Quinoa, Carrots, Mushrooms, Beets, Chick Peas and Balsamic Dressing
In other news:
In my 24 hours between Nashville and Orlando I managed to unpack and do some laundry. I also managed to put my iPod shuffle through the washing machine. Dumb! Patrick found it in the washing machine and immediately threw it in a ramekin with some rice. I was sure I’d be buying a new iPod but love him for his quick thinking.
To my suprise, the rice method turned out to be a rice miracle. I put my iPod on the charger this morning and when I took it off both it and the ear phones are working again (and super-clean).
What a nice way to end the day. Now some rest before another day of brain overloading SalesForce class.
