The Tampa Bay weather this week has been horrendous. I can’t remember the last time we had so many rainy days in a row.
Despite the storms, I’ve somehow managed to pull off all of my planned workouts so far. Including an open water Mad Dogs swim on Wednesday with this forecast…
Needless to say, the water was rough and I had to dodge more than one surfer. I felt like I was prepared for battle after that one.
On the bright side, I got a present from Clif Bar in the mail on Wednesday. Clif Bar runs awesome giveaways on their twitter (if you’re not following them, @ClifBar, you should be!). They sent me a sample of a few of their new flavors including two Builder Bars and Gary’s Panforte.
I’ve was excited to try the Gary’s Panforte bar.
It definitely did not disappoint. It’s a fruit, nut and spice bar and it tastes like Christmas.
This one is a little higher on the calories and fat than some of the flavors but it was a nice change from my daily Crunchy Peanut Butter Clif Bar.
Thanks Clif Bar!
We will see how the weather pans out for this weekend. I was hoping to get some good miles in on the bike but judging by the forecast, I may be spending some quality time with the trainer.
And that just doesn’t look nearly as much fun as this:
Thinking sunny thoughts!

Awesome! Now I am following ClifBar too. We go through ClifBars in our house like nobody’s business. Crunchy Peanut Butter is my favorite, but I really like the White Choc Macadamia, Oatmeal Raisin, and the Mint Choc too.
I agree, this rain is THE PITS. Do not love running in 10000000%humidity. Or a sauna (in those brief moments the sun peeps out!)
Clif is the best! We go through a ton too. Thank goodness we got some sun this weekend!
Hi! I recently found your blog and I think it’s wonderful! I was a college swimmer, and now I’m trying out half marathons and hopefully a full marathon in the near future! Great job with all of the tri training!!
Thanks Kelsey! I was never a swimmer before I started doing triathlons, but I’m getting better! Have fun with marathon training!
