Ironman 70.3 Augusta Training Recap: Week 12

This was a great week for swimming for me. I really feel like I’m making a lot of progress in the water from where I was when I started 12 weeks ago.

I took it a little easier on the running to give my knees some time to recover. They’re feeling a lot better. Thank goodness for ice and compression.

This weekend’s triathlon was a really good way for me to gauge where I am and what I need to work on. I am going to focus a lot of my time on the bike for the next couple of weeks. Not only to build my endurance but to build my confidence on the bike as well.

Monday:

  • AM- 1650 meter swim

Tuesday:

  • AM- 1-hour on bike trainer
  • NOON- 750 meter swim

Wednesday:

  • AM- 5 mile run
  • PM- 1 mile open water swim

Thursday:

  • AM- 1-hour on bike trainer

Friday:

  • REST DAY

Saturday:

Sunday:

  • PM- 500 meter easy swim
